1. Information we may receive

When you submit the contact form, we process your name, email address, selected service or project type, message and confirmation that you have read and agreed to this Privacy Policy.

You may also choose to contact Outtake through external services such as WhatsApp or Instagram. Information shared through those services is also subject to the privacy practices of the relevant platform.

Submissions are processed primarily to deliver your enquiry by email. The website does not create or maintain an application database of contact submissions. Correspondence may be kept in our email systems and the services used to deliver it.

2. How we use information

Information provided to Outtake may be used to respond to enquiries, discuss potential projects, communicate about ongoing work, maintain necessary business correspondence, and protect the website or investigate technical or security issues where necessary.

Outtake does not sell personal information.

3. Website and technical data

Vercel hosts and protects this website. Its infrastructure may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser information, request logs and timestamps. An IP-based rate limit helps protect the contact endpoint from abuse.

We use Cloudflare Turnstile to protect our contact form from automated abuse. Turnstile may process technical information required to perform this security check. We currently use Turnstile in invisible mode. This security check is separate from optional analytics.

Google Analytics 4 is activated only after you accept analytics. Before that choice, or if you reject analytics, we do not load the Google Analytics script or send analytics pageviews or events. When enabled, it measures page visits, successful contact submissions and clicks on email, WhatsApp and Start a project links to help us understand and improve the website. We do not include your form contents, email address, message or verification token in these analytics events.

4. Cookies and browser preferences

The website stores your theme preference and analytics choice in your browser using localStorage. The analytics preference is saved under outtake-analytics-consent so you do not have to choose again on each visit in that browser. If browser storage is unavailable, your choice applies only to the current page session.

If you accept analytics, Google Analytics can set first-party cookies to distinguish visits and sessions. Rejecting analytics prevents it from loading on future visits and stops further analytics collection in the current session. Previously stored analytics cookies can be removed through your browser’s site-data settings.

You can change your theme using the website controls and revisit your analytics choice using Analytics preferences in the footer. Clearing site data also removes your saved preferences.

5. Third-party services

We use Vercel for website hosting and security, Resend to deliver contact form emails to the studio, Cloudflare Turnstile for bot protection, and Google Analytics for optional usage measurement after your consent. Resend processes the enquiry details needed to send the email. These providers process information as part of their services under their own privacy policies.

When you choose to contact Outtake directly using email, WhatsApp or Instagram, the relevant email provider or platform also processes information under its own privacy policies. WhatsApp and Instagram are external links, not embedded messaging services.

6. Data retention

Information is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for communication, operational, legal or security purposes. This includes enquiry emails and related correspondence. Hosting, delivery, security and analytics providers also handle records under their own retention practices.

Where information is no longer required, it may be deleted or anonymised where reasonably possible.

7. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, applicable privacy laws may give you rights regarding your personal information, which can include requesting access, correction, deletion, restriction or information about how it is used.

Analytics is optional. You can reject it or change your choice at any time using Analytics preferences in the footer. Your analytics choice does not affect your ability to submit an enquiry; the contact form’s required Privacy Policy acknowledgement is a separate choice.

The website may link to third-party websites or services. Outtake is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those external services.

9. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the website, services or data practices change. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated date.
