About

Built to stayclose to the work.

Outtake is an independent digital studio bringing design and development together to create websites with clarity, character and intent.

Our story

Built from
a simple idea.

Outtake started with a simple frustration: too many websites either look good without working particularly well, or work well without having anything memorable about them.

We wanted to keep design and development closer, treating structure, typography, interaction and implementation as parts of the same process.

That idea became Outtake in August 2026.

The idea takes shape

A focused studio model begins to form around one principle: design and development should stay close.

What we believe

Values that shape
the work.

01

Stay close to the work

The people making the decisions stay involved in the details instead of passing the work through layers.

02

Make fewer things better

More is not automatically better. We would rather make every element earn its place.

03

Question the obvious

The familiar solution is not always the right one. Good work comes from knowing what to keep and what to challenge.

04

Finish properly

Responsive behaviour, motion, polish and implementation are still part of the design, especially at the end.

Studio model

Small by design.
Close to the work.

Outtake is intentionally small. The people you speak with are the people designing, building and making the decisions throughout the project.

01

Direct collaboration

No layers of account management between the conversation and the work.

02

Fewer handoffs

Design and development stay connected throughout the project.

03

Focused attention

A smaller studio means each project stays closer to the people making it.

04

Built together

Decisions happen close to the work instead of moving through a long chain.
